CHATHAM HOUSE, JUPITER ISLAND, FLORIDA

The Chatham ( Bassett Family Heritage ) House was originally built in 1925 as one of the first houses on Jupiter Island. In the 1950’s , due to damage from hurricanes, the house was redesigned to resemble traditional Colonial Architecture. Upon viewing a photo of the original 1925 house, Richard L. Seaberg suggested to the Client that the house be renovated back to the 1925 style of architecture.

In all aspects the house has been completely updated to current building codes ( with creative Engineering by RS Architects Partner, Charles N. Rhein ) while architecturally retaining the charm and authentic details of a previous era in South Florida historic architecture.

In addition to the completely renovated exterior, the interior has been completely renovated and redecorated by RLS Interior Design.
